  • How can I use the Essential Soft Skills Credential?
    1. Showcase Your Job Readiness Skills
      The Essential Soft Skills Credential provides potential employers with insights into your readiness to work. It shows that you’ve taken the time to prove what you know about important employability skills.                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Therefore:

      • Highlight the skills you’ve mastered on your resume.
      • List the Essential Soft Skills Credential on your resume.
      • Provide a copy of your credential (the front and back side) as part of your application.
      • In your job interviews, be prepared to talk about the skills you have mastered as shown on your credential.
    2. Share with a Potential Employer or College Admissions Committee
      This credential shows your mastery of content in the essential soft skills assessment test. These are skills that employers seek from today’s workforce.

      • Keep an electronic or printed copy of your credential when you go on a job interview or are speaking to someone that can help you move forward.
      • Use your credential as a conversation starter.   Talk about the value you bring to employers or colleges because of your soft skills mastery.
